Laboratory Etching Gels for ceramic or metal surfaces
Easy to control and apply
Ceramic Etching Gel:
- Etches chemically the entire surface where gel comes into contact with ceramic material
- Creates a roughened undercut surface
Metal Etching Gel:
- Removes selectively base materials from the alloy
- Creates a roughened undercut surface
- Nickel base containing 10% hydrochloric acid, 4% nitric acid and 1% hydrofluoric acid
- Higher gold contents, the better it works
- Note: Does not work well with silver, copper and gallium
